Looking like its going to be a really nice model! Although do hawks have afterburners?

Probably worrying too much here Sky, but a little concerned about this "glued in" wiring.
The wires look very neat, but they also look stretched to full extent.... those wings will flex a hell of a lot more than you may imagine ... especially with a hard landing .... this may mean the wiring needs a bit of slack so it doesn't pull on the joints. ???? :S

thanks poly for concern , just above the wheel well there is about 5 to 10mm in a trench and above that is a rod the length of wing

Very nice Skyhawk
How hard are EDFs to fly?
Quite like the thought of chucking one in the boot and a couple of batteries for a quick fly.

edf jet some require lots of speed but are easy to fly. i have a great planes l39 i consider that one a trainer because it is slow .

i have flown up to 90mm edf jets they are a lot of fun. it depends of what you have dean just start by full trottle then, if you have wheels or not they require a good speed before you lift off then cut back and cruse around full trottle not all the time as your flight will be short. for landing some require speed to land if not they drop out of the air ( i know it happens).

if any one want to give more info they can

Thanks for the info skyhawk,
At present i do feel quite comfortable with my flying although I have only flown IC prop models.
I read somewhere that delta wings make fairly good first EDFs as they are harder to stall I can't remember where i read it. but I would have thought they would be faster and orientation a lot harder.

what about one of these
or this

more interesting this but may be to much for a first go!!!
