Collection of Projects was created by GrahamKennedy
Well, here we go - here is my attempt to maintain the drive and impetus gained over the last couple of weeks.

I have spent the afternoon sorting through various boxes and have gathered the collection of partially completed and damaged projects which I have some interest in to complete.

As Andy mentioned after my introductory post, I am sure I shall learn plenty via this forum.

And for Danny, there are a couple of Scale RC Indoor projects there - I certainly hope to be at Shawbury in March. As Andy well knows, Dad and I have a great rivalry in the indoor class. I had an almost 100% attendance rate at these events until the last couple of Nats.

I shall merely post a photo of the 'bits' at the moment as it may prove an interesting teaser trying to identify the aircraft. However, I will say that the aircraft at the back in a very sorry state suffered its current affliction thanks to Walcott, the Russian Blue cat belonging to my former flatmate in London.

Morning Graham,

Can I point you in the direction of this post:

www.aeromodellers.co.uk/tutorials-how-to...-your-computer#69606

It was written by Mike admin to help with the posting of photos.

Also, the site will only accept photos up to a certain size, which I can't remember (help please, to anyone who knows the answer). I normally reduce mine to around 200kb or less.

you can add bigger pictures if they are hosted on another site ( like photobucket)

I think on one of the updates Mike removed or greatly increased the limit on picture size. I can load them directly from my camera which are at least 1.6 Mb but they do take a bit longer. ;)

The limit is actually 2Mb, I find the easiest way is to right click on the pic, choose 'send to', choose 'mail', choose a size, I always use '1024 x 768'. Go to the mail that has been generated and save the attached pics to your Desktop. Delete the email and when on the site pick the photos you need off your Desktop. It keeps you bandwidth down to a minimum.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Photobucket - I've been getting annoyed messages from them telling me that I cannot use pic's off their site for third-party websites, ie here - I don't see why not, as they are MY photo's!
If they do as they threaten, and block me, I'll merely cancel my 'pages'!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I think the official limit is 2 mb but I've had some not load at 1.9 mb so I now make them 1.8 or less . With an iPhone and iMac I can load them straight into the Mac then open them in Preview and export them back to the desktop as a smaller file. Some of the workshop low light pics are less than 1.8mb anyway so can be uploaded directly after uploading form the phone to desktop

'Could you use the camera memory card to download onto your P/C. and store them on a file. Than when sending a posting then click on add file open the file choose the pic ,click on enter and pic should appear. If I missed a step or something I'm sure someone will point it out. Also is it possible to transfer pics from P.B. onto our P/c then tell P.B to stick it and delete all your pics from their site.

Anything will fly given enough power

I resize the majority of my pictures to 750x563 pix (about 180 Kb each) before I finally save them simply to save space on my quick access PC 'solid state' hard drive. There are 3102 pictures of just my RC aircraft. ;)
My 330 videos take up a lot more space,11.5 Gb, so are stored on the PC's larger but slower disc drive.

Wow - I have learned a lot and not about the topics I expected to improve my knowledge on.

I thought I would go the quick route and upload from my phone, but hey ho...

Hope it works this time...

There's some very Piper looking tail feathers - so did the cat eat a Piper Cub ??

and is the biplane in the centre an Avro 534 Baby ?

...oh and is there a prize [badass]

I've found that my old camera - 7.1 Megapixels - will load directly to the forum, but my new one - 16 Megs, will not.

Easy resizing on PC, search for FastImageResizer free, simple fast enough.

Have a nice Day, unless I don't like you.
