G'day all. I just purchased a 1000mm x 200m roll of 38 micron laminating film (like Doculam). It's the glossy variety, just like the OzCover that I have been using over the past 15 years to cover my free flight models before adding a doped tissue covering.

I have included a few photos of a Pushy Cat that I recently re-covered after the 28 year old tissue became brittle.

I shall be cutting it into 5m lengths in the near future so contact me if interested in obtaining some.

What happened to the slots in the later pics? When the original Smeed design appeared there was a photo of Vic showing it to Col Bowden, with the mischievous caption claiming that Vic was telling the Colonel that the slots were where the pennies went (at the time the good Colonel was writing with some passion on stability and one of the things that he had suggested was wing slots)
Mike :)
The older I get, the better I was!

The slots were re-cut in the covering material once it was completed. Everybody asks me about them!
First flights were at the recent nationals at dawn, it flew very well. I was considering fitting lightweight r/c for the rudder but don't think that I shall bother now.
