I picked this model up from Alan at the nats and plan to do a restoration on the aircraft at a later date.
It has been very nicely made and just needs some tlc and a few scale details added.
but i have a shed to sort and a tsr2, auster, shackleton, hurricane to finish first.

well i dug this out of the pile in the corner of the shed and dusted it off.
i have cut the ic motor mount off and cleaned up the front.
cut a hole in the front cockpit floor so i can fit a flight battery.
putting some rivets on the sheet metal area's of the fuselage and will re paint it later this week.
need to order an electric motor for it next and then make a dummy radial engine to hide it inside.
then some rib tapes on the wings and a re paint to us navy colours.
be another finished model that i can fly soon i hope.

As an electric conversion I would hope Tony can avoid the need for much lead with suitable battery placement.

thought i would play with some rib tapes.
not brilliant, but not too shabby.
need to do the underside of the top wing next and then the lower wing needs looking at.

well this thing weighs 7.5lb so far without motor/esc or battery.
i am expecting 11lb when it is finished.
rib tapes still going on and some paint slopped on.
will repaint the yellow on the wings and the markings later.
needs a grey fuselage and a light blue tail as well.
the rigging wires will be fun.

undercoat has gone onto the fuselage.
more rib tapes on the lower wing
and i have started painting the markings on the upper wing.
hope to finish painting the fuselage and finish the rib tapes tomorrow, fingers crossed.
