i have not decided on colour to do it in yet or what to power it with as it is going to have flaps, retracts.

the motor in it kiwi is only a 480-size 960Kv brushless outrunner motor and with adding flaps, retracts and covering with balsa may add weight

Interesting point re motors. I use mainly 3548/5 on 4s 5000 mah lipos as most of my models weigh 5 to 6 lb. My Pulse 40 was purchased second hand, in complete condition, so i never weighed it. I replaced the motor some time ago with a 3548/5 and it flys very well although a little more power would be good. For some reason I picked up the blurb that comes with the model and the weight is aparently 8 to 9 lbs. These motors must be able to power heavier models than the suppliers give them credit for A bit off topic, but relevant to thread
