We've Won! ... Our Strip Is Safe.

The planning committee unanimosely passed our planning application to change the use of our flying field to Model Aeroplane Flying.There was strong opposition from the Lady in question who brought a team of people including solicitors and a Barrister,who all tried to bring up legal wranglingts but were firmly put in there place by the planning committee chairman,so its a big WHOOPEE for common sense and for once the good guys won

Im sure I did poly cant remember now.Our club chairman described her reaction.He is in his 70"s and worked very hard at getting all the required information and has received hearty thanks and congratulations from us all.He described the "ladys " reaction as thus.She arose from her chair and turned towards him with the most angry and contorted face he has ever seen,he feels if there was aknife in reach she would have plunged it into him.He said he had never seen a look of hate and anger like it in his life,so it seems she wasnt pleased.

Even though we won the right to continue the troublesome neighbour continues to harras us,she is very determined and will not take her loss to stop us without a fight.She has so far threatened to take the council to court,served papers on the club chairman and has failed every time.She has now complained about us parking cars in the car park and the club caravan.As both have been used for over 25 years its just a matter of asking for change of use which is a formality.The problem is it costs the club £325 and we have to present scale drawings,but the club appear to have friends in the right places so it should all be fine.The Environment agency have made a number of spot visits to check us out and have been satisfied that we are running the club fairly and correctly.Considering she cant see the caravan or the cars she appears to be getting more and more desperate.

Has the club attempted mediation to find out why she is so determined to run the club off. If that fails are there any laws that could be filed against her to prevent her from harassment filing frivolous law suits, it is a shame that this ordeal could not have been solved with a friendly face to face sit down. I wish you and the club the best
