Langar Day out was created by Garry Pollard
It had been arranged that the delivery of my Hurricane built with 3 others on this forum, by Tony, would be completed today along with 2 other models Tony had kindly picked up for me, plus I may add another model for Johnboy.

We had arranged to meet at Harby Post Office at 9.30 am, so I left home early and got there at 9.00am. Tony was already there waiting , so we went a mile to the airfield and found Johnboy, who has been before, waiting outside the gate. At this point Tony did not know Pol was coming until I rang him and he had arrive at the Post Office, so a mile dash to bring him to the airfield.

So at 9.30 am we were all there talking away as if we had know each other for years. Tony and Johnboy stayed until about 11 am when they both had to go their seperate ways

After they departed, leaving Pol and myself I decieded to have a flight with the Pulse 40 eveen though the wind was quite strong. The flight was a good one, and we retired for another long natter. The wind had got stronger, so another flight was decieded on.
The flight was good, but on landing due to the cross wind the model did a skip and took the U/C clean off. Now repaired.

Back to the cars for food and another natter, and at 2.30 pm due to the distance Pol had to go decieded to call it a day
Others may come on and disagree with me, but i feel it was a complete success, and meeting Tony for the first time was fantastic, as was meeting Pol and Johnboy again
The only downside was it didnt last long enough, so roll on the Nats, when we will have 3 days together.

A lot of the time was just spent nattering, as you can see here with Garry & Tony caught in the act.
Garry's new Merc' is in the background but Garry is still not properly showing his face ... just like in his avatar where he's stuffing a cream bun into it.

I see he has his name on his hat, in case he forgets who he is!

Do you have to tell everyone how senile I am, and yes that is the reason Eric:) :) :)

If my colonial friend doesnt pick this one up, I will eat the said hat:) :) :) .

Lots of pic's to come yet Grump's .... no point in posting them all at once because some members only read the last post ..... they'd be easily missed.
