SLEC

A balsa supplier par excellence.
I have used SLEC many times now for my balsa supplies and have nothing but praise for their fast and efficient service.

Their association with a Papua New Guinea plantation mill, allows them to offer a range of  Balsa wood lumber in different grades, qualities and sizes for all types of uses.

Ordering could not be easier, just select the size and grade of wood you want and enter the amount you need, then just pay by pay pal or credit card.
They offer discounts on orders over £50.00
Deliveries normally only take 2 days at the most.

SLEC also offer a cnc cutting service, building tools, glues and modelling accessories.
They have a line of kits as well, from a 54” sport flyer to a 17' Lancaster.
All at a reasonable cost.

I don't think I will ever use another balsa supplier in the future as SLEC for fills my every need.

Tony, aka blooper.

Contact them again BB & ask if we can give them a free advert in the form of a banner for a couple of weeks.
Mike will sort out a good one, so they don't need to do anything ... it'll just brighten the place up a bit.

Pol.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

Ads on the Home page only, BB.

Not exactly free from ad's ... just free from being too commercial. ... no money changing hands.
If a company wants to donate a model or other item for review, then we'll find the best builder / operator for that particular product & get him/her to build/test and review it honestly.
The company will also get a coloured banner advert that will appear at the top of every page ... about where Mike has just said thanks to our staff, Garry & Klippie.
These type of adverts could be placed almost anywhere.

Every modeller likes to look through model catalogues etc. ... so a few pictures & adverts might brighten the place up a bit..... We just don't want them flashing at us.

Just had a wonderful experience from SLEC, I must have been the customer from hell! I kept changing the order to get the best shipping price. A great person by the name of Tina Oneil helped me, got me the best price and never even heaved a sigh! Well done SLEC, and Tina, another satisfied customer!

Do it now, you may never get another chance

I'm all for ads. As long as they don't get in the way of navigating round a site.
The worst ones for me are the ones that flash and blink at you all the time..just glad I'm not epileptic.
those ones that turn up in the middle of a page (between forum categories for example) also put me off.

Thanks Tony for that glowing supplier review too :) very useful.

The worst are the ones that pop up and refuse to let you use your computr. Ive got an anti vrus one keeps turning up telling me ive 513 viruses. The only virus my computer seems to suffer from is there antivirus advert.

Thanks for the recommendation Tony, handy for when I start bashing my balsa. I doubt I'll be buying in bulk just yet, but I'm still watching and learning ;)
