me, or the model? this Lysander is from the bryant plan, built 12 years ago, and never flown, my job is to re-commision it, install 2.4, and give its first flight, but, its got no slats, and no flaps, and its quite a few years of his life, am i up to it? oh yes

The Lizzie makes Alan look even shorter than he really is! :P

Watch it shorty  you should see the detail in this model, its incredible, maps, cockpit interior, seats, gun. even the step n the spat, paint is, would you believe, emulsion!!! we had it down at woodford years ago, but the damned thing had a castoring tail, now, its steerable, its really a museum piece, but those words to me are, ive found a good pilot, its going to fly, so, not much choice, have I ???? just wish it at least had flaps, Andy Sephton has warned me about the lizzy, as he has flown the full size, with no lift devices at the tips, it may just be a hard wing dropper, get it to height, play with the stall, and be ready with the rudder, but first, its rip everything out, it needs a good looking at, several metal parts that are a key to keeping the wings on are corroded, and all the radios going in the bin, tanks the worst, it HAS to come out, that means dismantling all the cockpit, removing the engine, cowl, and all the detail up front, but its been sat all these years, it has to ge done, when, and only when i am satisfied, will flight be permitted, and then, only at Woodford, for, that is where Jeff worked, until he retired, looking forward to it!!! do one bit at a time,

Looks fantastic - what's the 'power plant' in it?

With sufficient thrust, pigs will fly!

had a chance to look round the lizzie tonight, few things want changing, few things corroded, want changing, like wing mount ball links, these are heavy duty plastic, screwed onto 3mm rods built into the fuzz, these will be swapped for chrome molydium 3mm ball links, fuel tank will have to come out, unfortunatly, this means taking a lot out, while this is going on, there is ample room for a bigger engine, so a 120 surpass e will be put in place of the 91 surpass, all servos, which are mainly JP cheapys, will be swapped for futaba coreless, and 3001s, these will take the 6volt 5cell sub C size 4500 ma i want to power the specky reciever, and the high torque servos yo be fitted, engine will have also, an on board glow supply, variable, to come on at 1/3rd throttle, on Andy Seftons suggestion, aircraft will be flown with CAR, but not electronically, wiv me fums :P ailerons will have a lot of differential, this wing will need all the help it can get!!!! rudder will be maxed out, elevator will have a lot of movement, but with lots of expo, only when its flown, will i reduce this surface, fingers crossed, eh?
