Introduce Yourself was created by admin
Here you can post a brief or descriptive introduction about yourself.
It is not compulsory but some members like to know a little about the person they're talking to.

"most people give up just as they're about to succeed" Napoleon Hill
"luck is when preparation meets opportunity" Oprah Winfrey

I think Mike knows me & Polyphilla really well so don't have to introduce myself to them.:P Everyone else I am on a lot off forums so know how to post and help if I know the answer. If I don't know ask Mike. The forums I am mostly on are satellite tv forums.

Here to help if I know the answer myself. :)

I'm another escapee from 't'other place. If you knew me (in the non-biblical sense) there, you know what to expect. I'm a know it nearly all who can be asked almost anything. But it doesn't mean I'll answer!!
If you don't know me - then be prepared for the worst, because I've been warned off a few times for putting my boot in before thinking, by the mods on the other one.
I'm old enough to know better, and old enough not to care! :woohoo:
If I put a reply to something that you take offense to, read what you actually wrote again first, as it is probably meant as a piss-take of a typo or bad grammar, not an insult!
I'm ex Royal Navy, ex scuba diver, ex truck driver, and now watch the clock going around, while watching a conveyor belt going around, and pretend to work, until I can say sod it, and get paid to stay at home. (or go flying!)
I'm also a published (well, nearly) fiction author, and if I'm allowed to 'plug' my work on here, I will do (Phil??)
I've flown power models, slopers, thermal, and am working up the steep slope (pun?) of electrickery.
I'm also a radio ham, and was trying to get a chat freq/meet going, with little success so far.
What else? I've survived prostate cancer, and so far seem to be free of it. If you want to know about that - ask!
My wife of 25 years is very ill, and on 'borrowed time'. Again if you want to know - ask, I might tell all.
You can also look at my blog at - 2e0dtoeric.livejournal.com - if you really want to!
I've found that the direct link doesn't work, but if you copy and paste into your browser, it does!

Phil said I can, so here's the plug I warned you about - you can find my books on amazon.com (not co.uk!!!) the stumbling block is that the carriage costs from California to here are roughly three times the cost of the book! so sales have been - shall we say - a little slow! You can take a peek inside for free, if you feel the need! www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=sear...=UTF8&qid=1296942661 is the chain you need to find me. There are eight books there so far, and four more lurking in the corner. Go on - blow the budget and buy a copy, so I can glean a few cents in royalties!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Eric, I love your introduction. Plugging your work on here will be fine. Your blog reminded me of maybe a feature I could install. Look forward to working with all of you.

 QUICK NOTE.. We always expect people to know how to reply to these threads. truth is ,if your a newbie to computers it can be confusing..Unlike the other forum theres no box at the bottom of the page to scribble in.
So its simple here to. just click reply at the bottom of the post-person you were reading . A new popup box appears. it will have title ,and subject. , scribble down your best smart comment or informative info, press SUBMIT and there it goes .your all done ...
Ready for a reply.

And for those who think this isnt needed because its so simple:lol:  remember we arent all computer wizzzzzz ssss

I'm a Pommy in South Africa, supposed to be retired, Jacob Zuma and his cronies nicked my Pension. Came to RC late in life and am one of the 'how hard can it be' brigade. My Missus and I live on, and run a Game Reserve, I hasten to add, we only own a little bit of it. Like Kiwi I'm a petrol head, but love anything mechanical, preferably I like things that go bang, either occasionally or lots of times when you put fuel in.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

I hope it is not quite as chaotic as the one depicted in 'Wild at Heart', on our tellies at the weekend!

I own this place and I haven't even introduced myself properly yet.
I'm trying to open this site because I no longer frequent my old forum and I want to keep in touch with old friends,.... and make some new ones.:)
I'm from Wirral UK and I returned to modelling about 3 years ago after a 30 year break.
I was invited by a member of my old forum to visit the Great Orme in Wales to try my hand at slope soaring......I've loved it ever since. (Thanks Tim ;) )
I will be having a return to power flying this summer.
Here's me at the Gt Orme.
Phil.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.
