Clearly should have googled it  The guy holding it has more nerve than I would and the look on the pilots face at the end, is strangely familiar :S Great video, thanks for clearing it up. Keith

Pulled this from the past to tell a similar (model based) story. A year or two ago, I had an Align 500 that I used for learning before risking one of the Raptor sisters! I pulled a huge loop and came out way too low. By the time I had realised the problem, it was too late. The heli thudded into the...

Do you have a JBA then Sky? I've no experience with them personally, but most guys in the club (including me) swear by OS. The 50 is an excellent combo of power to weight for the R50 IMO. I have gone for overkill with the 90 - having lost both the 50 & the 90 to power issues earlier this year. I...

Now here is my marvellous Thunder Tiger Raptor 90 - OS91HZ engine, Align servos and BeastX flybarless controller. I've been having technical troubles with it for some time after an electrical failure made it want to dig holes in the field  As usual, Mother Earth won and I've been having the...

Bit delayed here - but I managed to fly 4 thanks through it two weekends ago. Much improved, but still some issues. For some reason, the Align governor was playing up and the cyclic response was lightening fast - needs to steady down. BUT At about 300 ft up and blasting down to zoom past the field,...

Here's mine...... In a newly refurbished & re-painted canopy. Bought the canopy cheap (but damaged) off ebay and 'had a go' for the first time. It should be much easier to see on murky winter days now ;) Why do they so often paint them in dark, hard to see colours? RJX flybarless head,, Futaba...

As I might have already mentioned I have this obsession with rescuing old models from hobby Shops, garage sales and the local rubbish tip. MY latest folly is a Kalt Space Baron that I dug out of the local tip shop. Paid AU$30 for it and took it home to see what sort of trouble I'd got myself into....

This is specially for all lovers of IC power, vintage models - and helicopters. I now have TWO Kalt space Barons - one brand new - the other one I recovered as reported above - AND a Hirobo Shuttle ZXX. Both Kalts now have OS 32H engines - the ZXX has an Enya 35H SS. The next photos you might...

Go to zero pitch on the trannie, with plenty of rev's on, then adjust the high-flying blade to zero, (after stopping the rotor!!) otherwise you can end up with too much pitch and stall the blade! OOPS! :pinch:
