Sharing some of my videos from RIAT 2017 (RAF Fairford) for jet lovers. Major Dan "ROCK" Dickinson throttles up, hits afterburners, and propels the F-22 Raptor into a performance, high G, take off at RIAT 2017. Watch his stunning aerobatic routine that includes close formation with a P-51 Mustang....

I corrected it almost as soon as I posted it. Copy and paste failure. Apologies. Italian Air Force demonstrate the 'swing wing' Tornado with in-flight variable wing geometry at RIAT 2017. Flown very...flamboyantly.

Weighing in at 138 Kg, just under the maximum limit as defined by the CAA of 150Kg. The Pitts is scratch built, that means plans,...

First big show of the year. A select few models I had not filmed before... I've seen these have been flown in the US for a short while now so was great to see Azza fly his new Havoc for the first time at a UK show. No doubt he will be flying a syncro routine with Sonny at a show in the near future....

Very true. They are much quicker at spooling up than when I got my first engine 4 years back. Other variable is where the throttle stick is, when you push it all the way up. From idle it does take what seems a long time but if you're at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle it's fairly quick.

The term "airship" probably best describes it. That is very low resistance to slow movement yet with substantial inertia. At slow speed there is little aerodynamic control. Get it wrong "low and slow" and coupled with a low thrust to inertia ratio means it takes time and distance to sort out.
