Isnt it interesting how the looks of the Spifire have endured time and is admired throughout the world as the most attractive ever built. On top of that to hear that Merlin at full chat is a sound to behold as good as anything you hear.Coupled together makes a perfect package

And then we have the Vulcan totally different but again awesome to see and equally awesome to hear that unique roar

This is the best footage I have found of a Vulcan doing a barrel roll at Farnborough.
It was of course then classified as a heavy bomber and such a manoeuvre was unheard of.

Never captured on film but it was reputed to have been looped straight after take off.

Thats a fabulous piece of footage.I was at Farnborough when John Derry is aircraft broke up and the engines landed in the crowd, one engine went straight over us and we had moved down the field from where it landed in the crowd

Im convinced that my flying progressed when I acquired my Super Scorpion from Nevilles. My expert was flying the Southrner on its maiden whilst another club member was trying to catch it,then they realised they wer stooging around with my plane.

A guy I work for has an L-39 albatross jet trainer and took me up and let me fly it a bit- here's some video..was a fantastic day as you can imagine...
he flew me and a co-worker- who turned green- me I was thrilled and ready for more- The g's were more than I expected but he took it kind of easy on us.

taxi out(my co-worker inside)

take off from inside(I am strapped in)

and an aileron roll

Dean

Somebody called me 'pretentious' the other day.

I nearly choked on my latte.

yes I have been salivating for another ride- alas he is going to sell it- he said i would get a final flight- hope he remembers - he owns the company I do a lot of work for..He has actually been asking me for advice on RC flying- he is getting older and may not be as quick on the stick as he should be....

Had to pay for this ride- but worth it- my Buddy bob had never flown a real plane(my partner in my videos0 so I hired a cessna 172 and an instructor to take us up and let us fly a bit- but thats not what happened- he put us in the pilot seat- let us taxi and take off- let us fly awhile- then he made us land- what a brave guy- I only bounced 3 times and bob only twice-lol:cheer:

only minor disappointment is gopro got full during my flight and the file corrupted- but buddy bobs flight is fine and right here-
