Got my plans laid out ready!!
Which one will fly first Kadet or Kavalier?

Somebody called me 'pretentious' the other day.

I nearly choked on my latte.

So this morning i painted the underside of the wing and fuselage.

Then i left it for the rest of the day and did mustang and lancaster jobs.

Came back at tea time and stuck the wing on for a look see.

needs the yellow stripe and 2 coats of polyc yet, then a motor and we can do the nose.
but we are getting there at last. :P

right.
motor
esc
mounting kit
prop
prop adaptor
have been ordered from hobbyking uk.
£37 including postage.

540 watts on a 3s with a 11x5 prop should get this 4.5lb beast flying.

well the yellow stripe is on and we are doing the final coats of polyc.

once the motor i have ordered gets here we can fit it out and make the nose up.

that will give me two kamco models to maiden at some point.

then maybe i can get some more work done to the Lancaster and mustang and viscount and cirrus moth or even start the 100" p38. :P :P :P

How easy is the poly c to apply?
Is it stinky fuel proof or does it need treating?
Thinking about giving it a try, I have only ever used iron on coverings

if you are used to iron on coverings i would stick to them.
polyc is easy to apply, has no smell and is fuel proof.
it can be used with nylon, glass mat, tissue or straight onto wood, you will need to seal the wood first though.
dry in 30mins.

i tend to use it because i am old school and was using tissue and dope.

lay the tissue on the surface and paint polyc on top, starting in the middle and working out to the edges, you can lift the tissue off and move it anytime before it dries, just re-brush the surface to smooth it out.
leave for 30 mins and apply the second coat.

i tend to use 3 coats then paint, then 2 or 3 more coats after that.

the hurricanes were done with it, hell all my builds are done with it.
some people can get on with it others cant.
