Schoolgirl by Ken Willard was created by ronstv
I've just finished building this 1965 schoolgirl biplane by Ken Willard.
It's a 32" single channel design with kick-up elevator.
Has anyone seen or heard of this one before

Ron

It looks a lot like Boddo's 'little tinker'. I wonder who ripped a copy of who's, first!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Yep Ron remember it well. An AM 10 And Pixie radio if I got the last bit right. At least I think it was OS if not the Pixie Joint effort between a mate and myself. I did flying surfaces Pete did fuse and supplied radio and engine .Flew off the board ( literally ) like a dream . Finished in deep red ( not quite Maroon ) and pale cream . Paint was the thick stuff that settles in the can diluted with celly thinners Valspar if I recall correctly.Pete still had it when I got married but don't know what happened to it. It was never crashed so who knows ? He could still have it.LOL
P.S. off the board? Two pieces of door sized hardboard sheets hinged an painted. Our field was a quagmire in winter with sticky clay mud. In summer the muddy tracks became like deep coduroy. Ruts that could snap an ankle . Fully stalled 3 pointers on the boards, if possible, were the trick.Otherwise you lost the U/C and or the prop LOL We were barred from spot landing comps as a result [badass] [badass]
