SR71 Turbine powered was created by THE BLACKBIRD
I will be starting on a new build of this great aeroplane after two ill fated attempts
The first one a EDF caught fire taxiing out for its maiden flight and was totally destroyed
The second was being built with depron, which I soon found out I was no good with it, so it went out the first floor window
I have the plans again thanks to Tony, which I think will have to be enlarged because if I fit one turbine then the rear of the fuselage will be compromised with the thrust tube, and the ones I have seen done that way do not look right
So I will use the two turbines I have which will seriously overpower it being a very streamline model
So a 50 per cent increase will take it to 3.6m long and 1.8 m wing span
With 200 N or 44lbs of thrust
Should be starting around September

Yes and no. I sent the plans to Slec, they converted them to computer and cut out formers in ply and sent them both back, so I've got the plans and wood to finish the job
1:10 scale
