Recently I purchased a 12FGH, cheap, only I fly airplanes, Ok I can get over that but the guy before had the throttle stick gimbal reduced in throw ( he told me that before I bought it ), ok I hear ya say, take the back off, which I have tried, but it wont remove after taking out the 4 screws, it appears to be locked in at the top around the aerial fixing, any help anyone???not wishing to damage the set
Cheers

If you've removed all the screws, then something is holding it. try the base of the aerial & see if there's a knob like thing that needs turning anti clockwise .... or maybe you need to unscrew the aerial itself? .... some are just screwed in.... it's gotta be a simple job to open it.

I have found the answer, for those in the future, there are 2 small screws under the "grip pads" , that's that done, if I could change the default, to airplane, I would be 110% happy, now 99%

I believe the aeroplane set is a 12 FG and the H stands for helicopter , so according to the manual, which I have just read on line, it seems as if you are stuck with the problem Barry .
