Trident 1? Nose leg retract might be interesting as it goes sideways IIRC.
And I hope it will be a good deal quieter than the full-size?

And the reason the sideways wheel retraction was to allow for a big electronics bay as at the time its 'world first' high tech avionics were 'big' - just as they were for TSR2!
The Trident was such a missed opportunity. Originally designed to be bigger with more powerful Medway turbofans but was down sized and down engined to meet BEA's revised specification. From then on the Spey thrust development (which by then it was already nearing its design limits) meant that thrust never really kept up with the inevitable fuselage stretches and weight increases. Although fast it always had an inferior take off performance compared to other jets of the period even after it was given a fourth engine.
The tragic bit is that by then it was virtually the same size and weight as the original proposed design. If only...... :woohoo:
