Avro Shackleton mk3 phase 2 was created by Ex-Member
Well here we go.
afer the failed previose atemp i have decided to try again.

cut the cabin floor from 6mm ply and 3d printed a few cabin formers.

then i designed and printed out thee main flight instrument panel and fitted it to the relative former.

next came the pilot, co pilot and their seats, plus the throttles.

i need to finish painting the pilots before i can glue them in.

The flight engineers station was the next one to be designed and printed.

then the signallers station was done and glued in place.
this was quickly followed by the navigator and tactical navigators stations.

The first of the crew have been printed and glued to their seats. seats are not fitted yet as i need to finish the crews faces first.
but they will all fit here...i hope.

so this is as far as i have got to date, more to come as i design and print the relative parts needed.

Thank you

Fuselage joining tube glued to the underside of the cabin.
the rear section of the fuselage will be built round another tube so that i can just slide it inplace and do up two bolts to hold it together.
The wiring will be run through this section of the fuselage as i will be able to access it all through the open bomb bay doors.

well i have finished printing and fitting the underformers and can now so a little bit of eexternal sheeting.
the next big job is to design all the bomb doors and get them working, not sure on how to hinge them yet though.

then i expect i will be back on designing internal fittings again.

Started the nose construction.
th front u/c will be mounted to ply formers that will be glued to a section aluminium box, this will then be fitted into the largerr box that runs under the cabin.
so the nose should be non structual... i hope.

Today i have made the front u/c mount.
it is made from 6mm ply and is glued and bolted to to some 20mm square box.
the box then slides inside the 25mm box that runs under the cabin floor and will be held in place by two bolts.

i also drew up and printe off the frame work for the front gear doors.
this is also gluing in place.

slow old day today.
