Newbie

Hi from me too Sarah, welcome to the friendliest model forum in cyberspace
As a newbie flyer, you'll get loads of help and encouragement from the gang on here, having spent last weekend with quite a few of them at the NATS I can honestly say they are all genuinely nice guys (but don't tell them I said that )
It's nice to see a girl wanting to fly, I only know of 2 others (and I'm related to both ) but regardless of gender, it's always nice to see new blood joining the sport.
As far as off topic goes, if we've got an opinion about something, we'll talk about it.
If you want serious answers to a question, you will get them, but if you just want to chew the fat and take the piss...some members on here are black belts so no problem there

And of course, the most important thing as a newbie flyer....

Good choice Eric, can't say I've listened to much Stevie Nicks, but I really enjoyed that - the sound through my headphones was first class.

Sarah, something I haven't seen mentioned yet but have you heard about a "Buddy Box" .... it's a training system where you have an instructor with another transmitter .... A bit like dual controls on a car. ..... You can't crash, only your instructor can.

Very good point Pol. Some clubs these days insist on buddy boxing newbies (especially if it's with the club trainer) wish they'd been around when I started....(but that's another story)

Shouldn't knock slope soaring as a good starting place .... you can stay up all day, no worries about batteries & loads of practice at combat.
Combat is the best way to learn.... ask Mikey admin.
How far are you from Llandudno & the Gt. Orme ?
