Twister ninja 250

So it's blowing hard here today so no flying, I have had a couple of gentle hops indoors though, defently need more space as even in novice mode it's extremely responsive!
Should I store the batterys fully charged? it comes with a usb charger and I'm not sure I can connect it to my big charger... advice chaps..

It is the extreme sensitivity that is the driving force behind the need to get it to hover 'hands off'. It even has a fixed height auto hover facility Then it is just a case of the tiniest touch to make it move in any direction secure in the knowledge you can let go and if it has the space it will return to a safe hover all by itself.
To 'fly' in the conventional sense you have to master the control of yaw as well as pitch and roll. The effect these functions differ considerably as the speed builds up. To make matters worse its auto stability functions will override your inputs if they are too extreme.
In fact it could be said that it is a classic case of the worst type of model to learn to fly helicopters on!

If you had fully charged the LiPo but only ran it a for minute or so I would certainly run it 'in hand' for a further minute before putting it away. Small LiPo tend to be more robust than big ones so as long as it is 'a bit' discharged it will be safe enough to leave. If you can organise suitable leads then a 'proper' LiPo charger could take in down to a true storage level.

Cheers chaps for the battery advice, I have got it trimmed to hover stationery now but even the warm air currents in my living room cause it to very gently drift around, quite amusing!
I've just about got the hang of turning about it's axis using the tail roter and gently moving it forwards and backwards, just got to wait for a calm day and get it outside.

I think you will find even the calmest day has more than the warm air currents in the house.
About the only advantage is there will be more space to drift about in!

Bought a spare battery for it yesterday £7.99 from my local model shop, 2 quid cheaper than anywhere else and I got staff discount on top..happy days!

Empty football field...everything up wind and relatively close...enjoy...

For anyone that reads this in the future, the ninja is brilliant but best flown in advanced mode ( button B on the tranny) and get at least one spare battery!
