Yes as I expected, same as mine. Dont want you to think I am trying to teach your gran to suck eggs, but the flaps , etc are NOT glued in at the factory. Mine was so tight I thought they had done it for me, They HADNT !!!
If you are using the supplied retracts, put a small kink in the operating rod where it joins to the retract servo. I think they suggest this in the instructions
Take your time. It is an ARTF kit, but will not be done in a couple of evenings. There is a fair amount of work to do, but it is well worth it

Is that roundel peeling off, or are those black marks around the white circle just funny shadows?

We are just trying to make sure it DOES fly. With the price of the kit, and the good looks of the model, it would be a shame if it didnt fly, because someone saw a slight error, and couldnt be bothered to mention it.
We try to help each other on here, and rightly or wrongly we will continue to do that, until the model owner asks us to stop.

In engineering terms, the position of that horn is ok, you can move the control surface horn to any point long the pivotal axis so long as the controlling arm (Pushrod or snake) can cope with the sideways movement.
It is true that most modellers will position the horns as close as possible to the pivot point (Hinge) ... but this is not a rule of engineering.
Imagine that you had a wide aileron that was very thin ... it may be better to position the control horn further out to avoid any twisting of that surface...... It's complex leverage/ torsion/ force calculations.
This model looks like it has flexible snakes & could probably cope with the sideways flexibility ... I'm not convinced that the amount of exposed inner snake isn't going to give concerns about reliability?
There have been some ill feelings about this thread & I don't want to see them continue, please stop them now! ... those concerned know what I mean & if you have any questions about this then please PM them to me.
I'd now like to invite Blue 123 to continue his thread please.
Polyphilla.
