Nice video!
Remarkably tough but it does make you wonder why the motors are set so far out.
It would do much better with 'handed' props preferably rotating over the top towards the fuselage. ;)

Looks to be very sensitive in pitch, the same as my Mentor used to be until I moved the CoG forward 25mm. The second flight was better, was that a stall or a failure at the end?

It looked like the classic "death spiral" to me!
With its big wing span and insufficient fin area (or rather too much side area at the front) along with the added inertia of those wide spaced motors I suspect its controllable flight envelope is rather limited. ;)
I suspect a gyro stabilised servo on the "head" might be a useful addition - a fin canard?:P :P

Issue on 2nd flight was range. It was flying quite well until that happened. No major damage so we expect to see it in the air soon. I agree using the head as a fin would add some yaw control that might help and a bit of a scale touch. I'll mention it to James when I see him. Cheers Dom

Range?? It wasn't all that far away! Is he using a cheapie park-fly receiver, or a proper one? Park-fly's are good for about 200 yards, while a 'proper' one should reach a mile or more - ie out of sight range - especially on 2.4.
I've had solid contact at an altitude of 1500 feet agl (don't tell the BMFA!) and could have gone further if I could have seen the model!
