had a quick look at the mess mr beard gave me.



stripped the covering off to reveal any extra damage.


fixed the broken fuse behind the canopy.
started to glue the sides back together.

i think i need to mod the fuselage under the canopy as it looks like a weak spot.
so the canopy will be cut in half, front half will be glued in place to strengthen the front end.
the rear section will still be removable for battery changes.
time for a new look canopy as well as new look nose. :ohmy:

under the canopy is very weak as well.

the masses of epoxy just add weight and no strength. :P

I suggest a few lengths of 1" glass bandage bonded to the wood down the front half of the fuselage. It looks awfully flimsy there.
(note - bandage - not chopped strand!)

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

well the wings have been stripped and fixed.
new tips.
not the flashy ones of the original but more functional ones.
