I've got an unstarted wooden mk 1 somewhere, too! A 61 would be 'adequate' !

I've been trying to figure a way of electrifying it, the problem is getting the c of g far enough forward without stuffing half a church roof in, because it has a very short nose.

£50 'best offer'. Most of the ones I've seen have had servos and motor fitted, and seem to go for 120-150, so I thought 50 a more than fair price - now I wonder if £40 would have done it.
I picked it up today, what a nightmare on the M6! What should be a 90 minute trip took 3 1/2 hours.
Anyway, the model - very good condition just needing a run over with the iron to get rid of one or two wrinkles. It's the foam wing version, set up for 4 aileron servos and came with neccessary extension leads, control rods, closed loop rudder etc. 7 servos, a receiver, battery and engine will see it ready to go. I picked up 6 ES300 standard size servos for £3-75 each as recommended by Robin in Steve Webbs and I've plenty of odd ones to make up numbers. Anyone tried running JR 517 or 591 on 6.6v?
A new ASP53 or old OS61FX will go on the front depending on which one fits the bearers. I've got shorty pipes to fit either one so power should be sufficient.
Thinking about it, the tank looks to be either 8 or 10oz, so probably the 53 would be a better choice.
