Another interesting build . Is the fuselage Q grain ?

Yep, that's quarter (C) grain. I would prefer to use A or B grain for the fus and C grain for the wings and tailplane, but that's all I had in the store that was unwarped and of the right density (6 lb/cu ft). The light weight was more important to me at the time than the grain.

I had a bit of difficulty trimming this on at the Peterborough Club's Flying Aces meeting. to be fair to the model, the conditions were blustery and not at all ideal. It scored well in static, but on the one scoring flight it achieved, it was undulating in roll and pitch with a steep dive at the end. The final score put it in 6th position.
Squirrelnet took a video of one of the trimming flights which I'd be grateful for him to post on this thread. The first arrival on the video was not uncharacteristic and at the end of the session, the final result of a damaged nose and fuselage was inevitable!

I thought it was looking good in the early flights after a bit of trimming work. The conditions were very blustery though.
