Construction almost complete, needs a couple of gussets adding to the wing and a good sanding..just over a ounce as is..

Thanks chaps, the wood selection wasn't as good as I first thought but it was nicely cut, fairly sure I could make it lighter and stiffer if I scratch built it.
I really must get some decent accurate scales, our kitchen scales are notoriously inaccurate so I've used my old Gudgeon scales ( there actually ancient post office letter scales, but my old fishing club used to have a annual Gudeon comp and everyone used them to weigh there catch!)

I have found this most useful as it measures up to 1 kg in 0.1 g increments.

It also measures in oz and lots of other bizarre units too like "ct" which I assume are carats (1/5 g).
Uses 2 AAA alkaline that last for years.
£7.99 on Ebay

I have another that measures 20g x 0.001g but its really meant for drug dealers!

Started covering, annoyingly I've got a horrible wrinkle on the wing, hopefully I can hide it with the trim decoration, the wing is so lightly built trying to remove the tissue would probably destroy it.

Well this may take a little longer than planed, finished covering the wing and managed to get a huge wrinkle in the other panel so it's all coming off!
