just about finished the fuselage, chunky little thing which is a good thing in some respects as I hopefully intend to enter next year's Bowden trophy with it and given the normal awfull conditions when it takes place it does need to be fairly crash proof!
Cowl needs hollowing out and cut to allow the engine to poke out.
balsa is best.

Just a thought but you may find the Mills slows down after a short period as with such close cowling there will significant exhaust gas ingestion.
If it were me I would be tempted to put a hole in the bulkhead and then shroud the venturi so it drew air from inside the fuselage.
