Folgers brushed aluminum hack.

i  started  another 18" Dumas rubber kit, a Ryan M1 mail plane.
 the kit has paper cutouts of fake brushed aluminum that is supposed to be glued to the cowl and wheels.
i opened a new can of Folgers coffee and the top seal is stamped aluminum. thin. 
i am going to try to use it instead of the hoky paper cutouts.
here is the first attempt.  there may be a lot more coffee drinking going on here from now on if it works.

Good thinking. So I went and looked at (uk) Morrisons coffee container in my kitchen as I seemed to remember something similar. It is now plain ali foil, hmff.

i as well checked another brand of coffee that we have in the pantry and it is just flat aluminum seal, maybe just folgers coffee, i am not sure.
i just squished the foil into the wheel with my fingers before i cut it to shape, its soft and conformed to the wheel shape easy.

this is what i came up with for the front lower cowl made from the folgers aluminum.  looks pretty good but it took a bit of  time and frustration.
