For Sale - MAX 65AX Glow plug engine was created by SquishyTank
Hello all,
Much like my previous post. I have a MAX 65AX glow plug engine, which I had bought some years ago for a small airplane that my father and I were going to build. Unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago and I have not found the hobby the same since. I am willing to accept a minimum of £100 plus any postage costs for this engine, and will post with tracking. I will be posting from Bristol, UK and would like to avoid any international shipping.
The engine is "Like-New" as it has never been used, it is also in the original packaging with the original fittings etc. It has also never been run. I have attached some photos below to show the condition of the engine in its box, but please don't hesitate to ask if I have not included an angle you would like to see.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Kind Regards,
John

Hi Paul,
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately money is quite tight for my partner and I at the moment, so I was hoping to avoid the listing fees on sites like Ebay. I also figured my father would want someone in the hobby to benefit from the two engines I am selling, so I thought I'd try the forums first.
Kind Regards,
John

Now, do we call you Squishy or Tank?![[badass] [badass]](/media/kunena/emoticons/bad_boys_20.gif)
I am interested in both, but I have to find a good reason for the DLE, anyone know any good kits that will take it?

One of the best kits for the DLE55 is the Great Planes 50cc Revolver, i had one until i left Cyprus, lovely kit, well made and a superb flyer
As are all the Revolver range, iv had 4 of the 90 sized ones, why 4, well one i was preparing when i got to the field and was interrupted by someone asking questions, i missed the wing bolt on one wing, it did not show up until quite a way into the flight, but when it did
No. two i lost contact with, i was still flying Spectrum then, the other two i pulled the wrong stick or the right stick at the wrong time, both had the same result
Anyway i can strongly recommend the 50cc version the best flying IC model iv ever had, and it had the DLE55 in it
Incidentally it was designed for the 55 from the get go
And i still have a brand new wrap around exhaust for it that you can have

Hi,
That's great!
I like to imagine my online name as homage to the Dummy Tanks used in WW2 to fool the German spy planes.
For the DLE55, my father and I were building the LMA Genesis, as our entry into large scale modelling. If you are willing to collect the engine and have a vehicle large enough, I'd be willing to sell you the shell of our build. I have since sold the electronics etc that we had planned for it, but we had completed the build of the fuselage and the wings. I have no pictures on hand at the moment, but I can upload some tomorrow if you are interested.
For reference the model has an 8ft wing span, and we had built the wings in one piece.
Kind Regards,
John
