Clacton on sea Air Show

Ok, so the report on this , and please remember this is MY impression of it .
I got up at 6 am, didnt realize there was such a time , ready to go to Grantham bus station with 2 of my friends on Allington Gardens. YES, I have one or two lol
Joined the coach at the bus station, and set off to the airshow , picking up on the way at 3 points.
Raining as we started off, and soon cleared, and the sun came out. A reasonable run down with one break of 1/2 hr and arrived at 11.30 at Clacton . Weather was very warm sunny, but with a lot of sea mist, which we werent keen on. However, had a swift lunch ready for the airshow which was to start Radio Essex informed us , at 1 pm
WRONG first flight was at 2,15 pm and was performed by a Tornado which sometimes we could see and sometimes couldnt , but to give him his due he DID try, but conditions were not good Actually it was a Typhoon, but dont tell the idiot on the radio who was trying in vain to keep us amused . Then straight after at 3.15 pm?????? came 2 BBMF Spitfires which were announced as being the Lanc and a Spit, but he did correct himself as the Lanc had engine troubles and couldnt come . 2 more planes arrived one after each other, which we couldnt identify because of the low cloud base and neither could the commentator apparently, as he ignored them We were then treated to some ....well he called it music?? He was broadcasting from the next beach, and one of my friends enquired where he could buy an AK 47 to shoot the sod, his words not mine. The man suffered from verbal diarrhoea and never stopped talking
However, at 4.30 the Red Arrows arrived, and what a display in very poor conditions, absolutely superb and breathtaking, and dont forget I see them practising most weekdays
Back to the coach for 5.15 pm and home at 10 pm totally knackered. Cost for coach £30 each, entrance to show FOC

Would I go again??
With those two mates I would go anywhere, we never stopped talking and laughing, and I had a great day with NO RAIN, but wouldnt go that far to see so poor a display, but to be fair the conditions were very poor and the pilots did a grand job under very difficult conditions
However, I do wish my mate had found an AK 47

Please, there is no 'k' in Clacton-on-Sea.
It's been a great air show for many years.
Same as Southend-on-Sea, until rising costs put a stop to it.
