What am having to eat ??? was created by boz
As you guys and galls know, an off work until end of month so!!
Remembering my mam today (she is 86) bit older than you garry :)
I thought I would cook up an old favourite of us poor people,
Veg stew, with lentils, pulses, etc turnip, carrots, onion, sweet potatoes etc etc, but more importantly,
Dumplings, the fluffy one with just a hint of savory herbs,

Wife home in 15 mins
Brownie points hee hee.
Thanks for looking, boz.
And no that's not the pan I used for soaking my car parts in.

Nice one Boz....I'm quite partial to a dumpling or two myself! ;) ;)

Here's tonight's effort from the Sephton Kitchen - a five-bean stew with garlic, ginger, onion, mushroom, carrots and tomato plus herbs and spices various:

From comments in the Cafe here is a thread on food.
If other forums can run a thread on which car they should buy then we will run one on food.

Come on, photo your grub and put it on here

As you can see I have moved the 2 good ones we already have .

Hmmmmmmmmm....I love liver and onions...esp with green beans, mashed spuds and a bits gravy! In fact, I brewed up some lambs liver last night for use as snack food to keep me going through the day. Like you, Boz, it was done and dusted before I saw the thread!

Two eggs and bacon?
Lovely! But on a regular basis a dietition would have a fit.
No picture but this evening I had a relatively healthy chicken stir fry with lots of added veg in it.

That looked like a really nice full-fry Garry - eggs done perfectly! :cheer: :cheer:

Today's scoff has included porridge for breakfast (no pic unfortunately), followed by lunch at pour local Italian, Pecoro:

Antipasti: garlic bread, cheese selection, crostini & Salami (highly recommended!).

Dinner at home was the 5-bean stew brewed up a couple of days ago with steamed veg:

Don't know what that brown stuff on the garlic bread was, Andy, but I know what it looks like!

You need to improve your food recognition Eric... ;) ;)

The garlic bread is Italian style, i.e it looks like a pizza. The 'brown stuff', as you call it, is home made paté, and very tasty it was too! .....and it was spread on freshly baked ciabatta. The other ciabatta had a salsa of fresh tomato and basic leaves. The cheeses were gorgonzola, parmesan (edited from partisan - see next post) and pecorino. The meats were Palma ham and Salami Felino...... Is your mouth watering yet, because it should be!

I don't dispute your palate, Andy, but don't forget - I lived on Navy food, and it almost always tasted like it looked! B*** awful!
These days I can't afford these exotic foodstuffs, in case I find I don't like it, and it ends up being wasted.
Partisan cheese? I've heard of Parmesan. I thought partisans were the underground movement, during the war!

I think I'll stick to Red Leicester on toast, thanks! :woohoo:

Pancakes in ant form Scotch. Drop scones.Fruited Savoury what have you. We don't get them often enough in our house as Marg can't stand at cooker too long so she makes a supreme effort on Shrove Tuesday.Neither Ant or myself can do it either. I used to do a fair bit of cooking before the arthritis really set in.My youngest keeps saying hurry up and get better so Sarah ( His wife ) can have one of my curries .My lads all love 'em

Anything will fly given enough power
