Iv just ordered a plan from uncle sams land for a 1980s stunter
Ill put the build thread on here
Last time i flew one was in the British team trials in 1974
Finished third and qualified for the team
If the plan arrives quickly i hope to start it before going home

The plan for the stunter came this morning, one week after from ordering, how good is that
I need to get a small building board, scalpel,,pins and balsa
Then I can make a start.
I will be moving to the second centre of my holiday on Saturday so cannot order anything until later in the week
Almost finished my voluntary job here painting the stairs, three floors, walls and all those spindles
And I hate painting
But my daughter in law is worth it

I got my wood from Slec this morning, great service again
But there don't seem a lot for £100+
Now I can start the build, better than going crazy doing nothing but sitting and watching t
Not been allowed to do anything until the problem I have is sorted

I have made a start, first I made a small building board
18mm flooring chipboard covered with 9mm plaster.board
Then I have been cutting out all the parts for the wing
62 ribs
66 short ribs
2 wingtip ribs and the main spar from 9mm balsa with 3mm ply doubles each side
But now I'm waiting for pins to arrive from balsa cabin, I find them not so good as other places I deal with
This is like going back 50 years when building with no tools just a couple of knives

I make my own pins from dress-making pins by putting an epoxy head on them.

I've only ever used them on balsa and lite-ply.

Use the very fine dressmakers pins. Crack the plastic head off with pliers, bend the end round in a loop, and you have your own (sort-of) Tee-pins!

Done the main wing spar
Still waiting for my pins from balsa cabin,so i cut out the fuselage sides and the ply doublers with a scapel
Started to make up the fuse
Still no pins
I see there is one picture of the tail feathers thats not loaded, again
