T-One Models FORTUNE sport jet [4K]

Fast becoming one in a very small number of excellent 2m sport jets. Relatively cheap as an airframe compared to others and flies so nicely.

Those jets sound very loud, are there any restrictions on the noise levels? and how do they compare to a similar sized petrol powered engine? How do they compare price wise to ic engines?, boz.

They are loud on the ground when running at full throttle and that is infrequent. Happens for a few seconds when they auto start-up. A lot less noise in the air. No noise restrictions but then again clubs that allow turbine jets seem to be fewer and fewer and tend to be a sites that are not even slightly noise sensitive (e.g. disused airfields). IC engines not as loud but not that far off. Price wise...a lot more in terms of engine price, and price of the airframe and retracts/struts. 140 size engines seem to be the standard for a 2m sport jet. You are looking at ~£2000 for that size engine (e.g. Kingtech K140G) up to 210 size engine which would be nearer £3000.
