My first tip would be if connecting a charger to a automoblie via its battery be sure you dont spark the terminals and cause car computer issues. even more so with turbo cars.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Eric wrote: A secondary advantage of fastening one wire back - it is less likely to short out, too! Hypothetical situation - two lipo's facing each other. The pos wire accidentally connects with the neg on t'other, who's pos wire accidentally connects with the neg on the first lipo......two pregnant lipo's!?
Bloody hell Eric, you make it sound like the lipo's are going through some sort of mating ritual.

Nothing is truer of leccy stuff, sure, you don't have to buy top of the range, but don't buy at the bottom either.
Never run the ESC at the top of its rating.
If you plan on 30Amps, fit at least a 40Amp ESC
Never use the ESCs' bec, use a separate RX pack
Do it now, you may never get another chance
