This TX is to my mind the best going at the moment, I've volunteered to try and program it for Blackbirds SR71. It's going to be quite interesting since I don't have one, and I'm working from the downloaded manual!

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Well this project is already running into trouble, the function I want to use for the SR71 is called Ailevators and the channels required run over to a second Rx at an eyewatering 103.49 from Fastlad. This is definitely going to need a rethink!
There are two ways to go here, we can fit two Orange FaSST RXs and do without Telemetry and S.Bus, or use the supplied RX and use the S.Bus hub at 23notes!

Do you have to use S.Bus servo's with the hub if so then two orange receivers i think, i dont need telemetry

BB, we won't need a Hub (I hope) and I think we can manage without Telemetry, except that RX battery voltage would be a 'nice to have' I'm going to try and use just the R7008SB receiver for now (keep costs down) I might start a separate thread using two Orange RXs because I think they're ace!
Right, let's nail a few things down
We have:-
2 ESCs
2 aileron servos
2 elevator servos
2 rudder servos
1 retract system
do we have flaps?
One of the nice things about a hub is that we can have extra batteries around the plane.
Another thing, the Futaba RX is high voltage, we can give it a 2 cell Lipo, but then all the servos connected to the RX (but not the S.Bus2) will have to be high voltage as well!
Do your ESCs have a Bec? Are they Linear or Digital?
Life gets complicated don't it?
is there anything I've forgotten?

The first thing we have to do is make sure the RX is in the correct mode, if it's a R7008SB you're going to be in Mode A (until I change my mind! :) ) First, connect the Rx via a switch to a battery. Without the TX on, press in the button on the Rx and then switch on. When the Led blinks red & green, let go the button, now you can see what mode you're in:-
1 red flash = Mode A
2 red flashes = Mode B
3 red flashes = Mode C
4 red flashes = Mode D
And what does it all mean? :-
A = channels 1 to 8
B = channels 1 to 7 + S.Bus
C = channels 9 to 14
D = channels 9 to 14 + S.Bus
Pressing the button will now change the mode, we want a single flash repeated. Once you have have it, press the button until the Led glows solid, now switch off.

Hi Klipy the ESC's are PHOENIX ICE 2 HV 160AMP X 2, no BEC, i dont know if they are digital or not :S :S driving 2 Lander 120mm EDFs running on 12s lipos each, I was going to use a seperate battery for the receiver and electric retracts and 1 servo driving the 2 main gear doors, correct on the servos 2 elevator, 2 rudder 2 ailerons, no flaps
