Charger

That's a very nice charger F1. It's main problem is that because it's 'all singing, all dancing' there doesn't seem to be a function that says, 'cooi, charged!' You're going to have to do a bit of learning before you start charging seriously. Unless anyone's got some helpful hints (Eric?)

If you are charging lipo (lithium polymer) batteries - be very careful!
It is essential that you have the charger set up correctly, and that you do not over-rate the battery by charging it too fast.
It is also essential that you charge it in a safe location - preferably outside! - so if the worst happens, and you have a flare-up, all that gets destroyed is the battery, and not the house or the back of the car!
A lot has been written on the care and feeding of lipo's, so please read it, and understand it, before you do anything else.

Regarding the charger, I don't know that one. Mine is similar to Garry's in that it bleeps at me, and flashes the word 'full' when the battery is charged.
If you are going into electric flight, you also need a gadget called WATTMETER, there are various ones on the market, but they will tell you how much power your motor is asking for, and you will be able to see if the propeller matches the motor, the speed controller and the battery ratings.
It simply plugs in - in between the lipo and the speed controller, and you can read all the important numbers off the multi section display.
A final note of caution - when you are setting up - on the bench - please take the prop OFF the motor. It will not hurt the motor, and if the prop is in the box, it cannot hurt YOU if you have an unexpected start-up! As soon as the lipo is connected to the speed-controller, your motor is LIVE, and it will bite if you are not careful
