Non intrusive current measurement is now very affordable, check this out. This meter will even allow you to see current drain from the Lipo while you're running the motor!

Do it now, you may never get another chance

To be fair to OT it did not work when it was first posted but presumably as a mod he could secretly fix it. :P

Let's put the black one to one side and concentrate on the blue ones. Take a Lipo that you know has voltage and plug it in, first one, then the other. What do you get?

The Wattmeter I have is rather different to BB's - but as he has no load on the output, if I do that with MY meter, it shows 0.00 per cell. That's not VOLTS, it is AMPS, and as none are being drawn, 0.00 is correct. :P
Now - if BB plugs in a speed controller to the LOAD side, and a prop-less motor ( for safety), and a servo tester or receiver to drive the speedo, he'll see a difference!
A propless motor won't draw very much anyway, but the numbers will rise from zero.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

It seems you have the wrong style of watt meter.
When I couple a lipo (a 2s in this case) up to mine just by itself it does indeed act as a volt meter.

It also shows the current it draws doing it (0.01 A). Left running it even records the power consumption, 0.009 Watt hours after 5 minutes!
