Futaba 6EX PCM

Please forgive my ignorance in these matters; I have recently acquired the above radio transmitter in unused condition with a couple of servos bu;t no receiver ; I would like to know what my options are particularly as the futaba receivers seem so expensive; regards Kenn

I trust you are aware that the Futaba 6EX uses rather old technology.
I may be wrong but new 35 Mhz (In the UK it must be 35 for planes) receivers are getting a bit hard to come by although still easy enough if you don't mind second hand from ebay and the like.
Also be aware you will probably spend nearly as much on the crystals as for the receiver itself.
My advice is to always use matched pair transmitter and receiver crystals. Mixing brands may not work perfectly together even if they are the same frequency.

Although still quite usable (I still regularly use an even older Futaba 6A Skysport) it is a bit of a lottery buying second hand bits unless you know "what is what".

As mentioned on reply to your introduction post. Check the regulations for what is allowed in France. Also if you are planning to use the old Radio tx you have, put a new battery pack in it. Quite a few folks still have some Futaba 35mHz rx's and Xtals pairs to match. When you know what you need just ask on the forum.

Talking of which what is the best crimping tool for this?

I've two including the 50th Anniversary one. I'll use them when I'm fit enough.
