Binding receivers

Jon asked about binding Futaba RX's a while ago.
First find out if your RX has a bind plug or just a press button.
Get ready to apply power to the RX, I normally use an old on/off switch of the type we used to fit into our old style 'oily' models.
Back at the TX go into 'Bind' mode, this can very often only be accessed at switch on by holding down a button when switching on.
Now you're in 'Bind' go to the RX, if it has a press button, press and hold, while holding switch on the power to the RX. Holding a button down while plugging in a battery seldom works first time! Hold the button for another 10 to 15 seconds then release and switch off.
Now you're in 'Bind' go to the RX, plug in the Bind plug and switch on the power to the RX. Leave the RX on for another 10 to 15 seconds then switch off, remove the Bind plug.
Now switch on the TX in normal mode followed by the RX, you should now have a light (sometimes green) on the RX indicating full communication.
You must do a range check when you get to the field!
 

Many Futaba RX's have a tiny bind button between the 2 antenae, being 'surface mount', after being pressed 2 or 3 times it jumps off the PC board! With care you can solder 2 small wires to it and twist the bare ends together when you want to bind. A bit Neanderthal but it works!
Corona tend to have a button on the back.
Orange normally have a button on the front under the flexible plastic covering.
