Hi, I have a dynam

yellow model . What mini cameras are recommended for an RC plane? Small, lightweight, cheap and not horrible video quality are the requirements. I don’t intend to go the fpv route with tx and rx for video. Just to save to sd card and then watch it after the flight

There are several options, but a lot of them have the lens on a flat side, wich is nice and draggy. I use a Mobius, which has the lens on an end, and is nice and compact. See my vid from yesterday in Been Flying, for a look at the output, bearing in mind it is re-processed by You-tube, which doesn't help with the playback quality.
It measures 6 cm long, 3.5 wide. and 2 deep. It weighs in at 39 grams.
It has an internal battery that is good for about an hour, and records vid and mono audio on an SD card.
It can also double as a dash-cam, and starts with ignition on, and runs until ignition off, if you use the micro usb lead supplied.
It can be set to record until the SD is full, or over-write, and also has motion detect that can turn the cam on, if required (and you really want to record next-door's cat walking across your car!)

I presume you are considering an "in flight" video.
I was always a bit disappointed with mine. It is only when you have a camera in the plane that you realise how much the plane bobs about even though you are convinced you are flying smoothly.
Powered glider type planes are more docile so are a better platform for in flight videos.
The other aspect is an inflight video does not show what the plane is doing from your perspective standing on the ground. This is important if you want to learn from the flight.
It all depend on what you want to see in the video.
