As I've got older I don't remember stuff very well, my Transmitter is a perfect case in point. TXs today have so many switches that it's impossible for me to remember what function I've assigned to each one.
Some time ago I created a whole lot of speech files to my Horus TX and they all work perfectly and I don't have to look down at the TX while flying, never a good idea (ask me how I know) I've been fitting out the Extra in between all the other crap that life's throwing at me lately.
Most of the stuff that's flyable is electric but the Extra is a 4 stroke, glow, twin. I've fitted a pair of igniters for the plugs because when fitted the cowl covers the engine completely. These igniters are controllable from the TX and have Off/half/full selectable. Full is for starting, you switch to half for normal flight (this apparently prolongs plug life) and gives a very reliable idle.
I can't find the original TTS editor that I used and none of my new files work!. The TX likes .wav files and the normal size of the file is about 50Kb, but some editors produce .wav files that are in the region of 350Kb! None of the new files, small or large will work! But they play correctly on VLC or any other player you choose.
Any ideas anyone?

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

The best I can suggest is to give T9 hobbysport (the UK importer) an email, and ask them if they still have the old files on their databank + explain your problem.

Try this link Klippy to make your own TTS files, also saves in WAV format.

I tried Narakeet, yes it works although I normally don't use online programs, it creates the wav files, but they won't play on my TX. VLC and Windows media play them no trouble at all.
I had a thought that maybe it's computer related so I've downloaded the program onto the boat yard computer and made a fresh install, Optel the feral cat has taken over the space in front of the screen so that's a bust for the moment.

I have two feral/stray cats in here, at the moment, I suspect they've moved in to get warm! It's 3.5C outside!

I have found that my Horus won't play any files from any of the TTS converters that have claims to AI. I had to go back 8 pages of Google search to find the one that I like, small, only 3.5Mb, no instructions, just does what I want.

While you know where the 'instructions' are - save them to a thumb-drive or something, so you have them again for next time.
