Looks fantastic this P-51 in its Strega Reno Racer scheme. Don't think I've owned a model of this size, with flaps and retracts, that will scoot along at high speed and slow down to a crawl. Too much fun to fly.

What fell off when the model landed? [badass]

Well spotted! Was a bit annoyed that happened. Just a plastic 'vortex generator' fitting that I had pushed into place on the outside of the wing. Thought at the time maybe was best to glue it but followed the instructions. Both glued on for the next flight.

I thought it was a U/C cover to start with but they both seem to be on when it is picked up at the end.
I see now it was a vortex generator - what ever that is!.

LOL. If only that were true! I'm have no aerodynamics knowledge but looking at the component I would guess it helps the model track better.

The idea is that they alter the Vortex created at the wing tips to create less drag. Many full size aircraft have them in one form or another.

Have a nice Day, unless I don't like you.
