Durafly EFXtra FPV High Performance RACER was created by DominicM
Hard to imagine they could improve the 2014 version of the EFX Racer but seems they have done it with increased internal capacity to take up to 6S (if you change up to 80A ESC), full wing spars, FPV ready, slope soaring nose cone, props for 3S and 4S power etc. Fitted mine out with a RunCam FPV Eagle cam which proved to be excellent for anyone who wore the FatSharks on my 2 flights. I'm thinking a cam with OSD and artificial horizon would of great benefit to the pilot actually flying this pocket rocket on FPV. I'll do that soon.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

What is OSD?
How do you think the EFX compares, for flight speed and stability, with the Excalibur, which I already have. It hasn't been flown over the winter, because our field has been very wet, and with all those vent holes in the fuz!!!

Hey Eric...to answer your question, the EFXtra is definitely faster than the Excalibur on 4S and can be cranked up to 6S1500 apparently. They are very different models to fly. Excalibur very nice for those unpowered dives, level out for low slow axial and 4/8 point rolls, out to reversal and cruise across the patch to power up again...so you can lie on your back and watch the glider's silhouette as it gently passes beneath the clouds waiting for a passing thermal. EFXtra...you can't blink when flying that thing.
