The 3 seems to have less prop noise, but is more 'whiney' than the mk's 1 and 2. It will be interesting to hear one in 'real life' rather than on-screen, of course, as camera mike's don't always hear things the same way as protein ears do.
They do seem to be popular trainers/rough field models.
