Flair Cub

Hope this works,here is my old Cub which I ripped apart,replaced sheeted tail feathers with built up structure,inverted engine and redid cowl,added flaps with landing light coming on when they are deployed,attempted to call it a Cruiser after the inspiration of Keith Pyrah's model.

My mate Danny (Septic to some) was kind enough to do the decals for me.

Ah Danny of a 1000 and 1 rivets hehe Saw his hurricane up close the other weekend, the attention to detail he has put into it is amazing.

Just goes to show if you have talent, a tad of imagination, and am a jammy sod, you can make even a MOST unscale sports scale model look superb, Nice one John, i knew there was a decent cub in that flair kit some where, now you have proved it, nice detail,

My cub sports a very powerful and reliable SC 52 4 strokes excellant engines and amazing value

Tony i have two single pole s/w under cabin fuselage,one is for on board home made glow driver,sep battery,and the other is for the nav & landing light.The flaps and ailerons have 1 small servo driving each ail/flp.On one of the flap servos I put a two leg arm on,spare leg operates a small micro s/w and the way i have it wired is flaps closed = s/w closed so when servo moves for flaps light comes on,this also runs off a seperate 2 x 1.5V batteries,as soon as the s/w underneath is made the nav li8ghts come on,these are 3V led's,got all my stuff from Maplins. NEITHER of these systems uses flight pack battery power.
Model also has home made fully sprung/working metal u/c "Sorta Cubish",rudder is pull / pull cable,wing struts that fold when wing is stored and because of these features and extra batteries etc only thing bigger than a 45 fs I had was my my spare Saito 65,I have a throttle on my tx Alan afore ye start .
I am pleased with it,those that know me see how my mangled hands are with the rheu arthritis,those that don't know me I can tell you it is a struggle sometimes,but hey oh-nils illigit carborundum eh,life is for living not lying down.

I am sure your Auster will turn out just fine Tony,at the end of the day we can only do our best,and if the best is good enough for the builder and it turns out how he wanted it to he has done a damned good job.
I was very lucky in having some beautiful decals done for me by Danny,they really made the model come alive.
