Not a Gun Bus (Vickers FB5) but I believe an FB26.

FB26A.

One unnumbered prototype built in May 1917, crashed August 1917.

Contract for six redesigned prototypes (B1484 - B1489) in September 1917, to be powered by the 200 hp Hisso, and intended for Home Defense squadrons. Three built. B1484 sent to 141 Squadron at Biggin Hill in February 1918 for evaluation, which was: "It was most unpleasant in a spin, rotating at appalling speed, went fast but would not climb much." Work on fourth and fifth machines stopped, and B1489 was not started.

B1485 fitted with an armored nacelle and B.R.2 rotary in the late summer of 1918 as the Vampire II. Production of this variant with the ABC Dragonfly radial was considered, but the engine was a failure and the war ended.

Typical of the british aircraft industry they have the superb home defence fighters, the SE5, and Sopwith Snipe, and have to try their hand with a lame duck, old fashioned, badly designed, seeing as the full size was a dog Tony, is it worth the effort? would you fly it? or would the club expert? and when he has wrecked it, how would he feel?

It'd be an interesting challenge Tony, but Alan's right in many ways.

If you want to make some money out of your current efforts, i.e make a model that sells for both your self and LaserCraft, then you will need something with instant appeal that flies. There are already too many Spitfires, Hurricanes and Me109s on the market, but there are also some appealing aircraft that aren't too well served in the modelling world - the MB5, Halifax and Vimy, for example.

Anybody else have any ideas?

Defiant, Beaufighter, Betty, Fiat 31/32 biplanes, Boeing F series fighters, Curtis P6E, between wars racers Lion etc - how big a list do you want

The shack is time consuming enough as it is, just playing with idea's at the moment.

Or a decent mossie westland whirlwind or dh hornet all fpr a pair of 20cc petrol s or 120 to 180 fs with simple non expensive retracts. Now theres a challenge
