A minor comment regarding the construction - where you have the ply? doublers around the wing root, They would be better if they weren't simple squares, but tapered off fore and aft.
As it is, you have a potential weak spot, where the doubler ends, and that is where the fuselage will break first.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I see your point Eric, but my train of thought was to glass the fuz once building was complete, therefore adding strength to weaker parts, suggestions are most welcome though

As a committed light weight builder it could be said that once the skin sheeting is glassed all over the great majority of the internal structure (apart from the formers) becomes redundant as far as strength and stiffness is concerned.
In effect it will be a stressed skin monocoque structure.
