Hi Guys!

as my Gipsy moth is on cover/paint stage (long time consuming) i decided to cut some balsa and take some glue.

really love parasol and biplanes, and pietempol was a good option since i found that model but never decided a good size for it. I get an nice and new PAW 150 and decided to use on it.

the plan i´m using is the RCM with 56", a semiscale pietenpol, with enlarged elevator and some dihedral. decided to reduce the plan ( i think the paw 150 will fly the 56" but the small prop will look not nice) and having around a nice OS max III .15 and an enya 09 IV that share the same size mounts as my PAW, could be nice se how it goes with different engines.

now here is the main issue... i just know fly rc on 3 ch. .... i mean, or rudder or ailerons, no bought! so... what you thing about 3 channels?

another thing i decided is to modif. the nose of the engine, to get a more modern version with those boxter engines vs. ford T engine with large radiator in front of pilot!

here what i had done.
Thanks: boz, Squirrelnet

The Pietenpol is a good choice Rodrigo. It flies well as a free flight model so with a bit of dihedral it should do well with 3-ch RC.

Another build thread to follow :) nice work Rodrigo. I think with a PAW 150 up front you'll have plenty of power

Hi Chris! well, i know, PAW are very powerful engines, but you can always throttle back. if goes for too much, can change the engine for an Enya 09 IV.

I notice that Andy has taken some of the dihedral out of his comment! :P

Hi Guys!

Some work done, kind of slow, as... don´t know, some models makes me happier! not this one!, i really love parasols, but, lets see, maybe a little more further looks better.

decided to to 4 channels, and this will be my trainer, so, not much scale on this, as i´m thinking to make ailerons all way out. and add just a little of dihedral.

let´s see how it goes. need to get some supplies for wings. but, now fuselage and tail have shape!

Hi Guys!

Some progress done in the last weeks. think is going to look good, not as a real scale, but close. and seems to be a good trainer plane, as i´m building to learn 4 ch. ( i only fly oldtimers with 2 or 3 ch)

Hi Guys! Some more work done last weekend, so far, is getting close to get covered. at this stage, weights 685 grams including life battery, but missing wheels, covering, struds, aileron servo, etc. so...... think is on the heavy side.... hope to get something under 800 grams.
