BF 109 was created by paul d
Before you get too excited, my next project will never fly....
At Christmas my son gave me this:

It's a resin and photo etched kit of a DB605 V12 engine as fitted to one of the most important ( in my mind) preserved aircraft in existence.
Messerschmite BF109 G2 W/NR 10639 'Black 6'.
I was lucky enough to see this unique machine fly at duxford a few times before it suffered a accident in the hands of someone who should have known better in my mind.
Bit of a long term project this one as it comes with instructions on a CD to include such details as a full wiring harness, fuel and oil pipes.

I know this forum is generally about flying models but I thought it may be of some interest...

balsa is best.

HPH do a complete BF 109 at the same scale. Only 475 euro and it does not even have that DB605 inside the cowl.
They do a Packard Merlin too.

Don't think this kit was particularly cheap?? got the basic block built and painted, I'll post some pictures later, need some aluminium effect paint and need to fabricate the cowl mounting ring that mounts on the oil tank.
